Simulation and Study on the Fragment Ejection Process of Premade D-shape Warhead

Abstract

Numerical simulation of the working process of warhead has important significance to the design of deformable warhead. Fragment distribution and destroy effect of a premade D-shape warhead were obtained experimentally. Base on the experiment, numerical simulation of the experimental process was done by use of Lagrange arithmetic with the finite element software LS-DYNA. The working process of the premade two-layer fragmental warhead in shape of D was analyzed. The simulation result was compared with experimental result and simulation result by use of ALE arithmetic. The rationality and practicability of the simulation with the Lagrange arithmetic were validated from the comparison.
