Abstract

LS-DYNA finite element hydrocode is used to simulate the formation process of MEFP was made. The formation mechanism was revealed, also the different ways of initiation, such as center point initiation, three points initiation, four points initiation and eight points initiation, were calculated in the numerical simulation. The result shows that MEFP under multi-point initiation way has a better aerodynamic shape, small departure angle and penetration ability. Among the different initiation ways, eight points initiation was most effective.
