Numerical Simulation Study of the Characteristic of Separation of UAV Airborne Bomb Release

By coupling resolving the 6-DOF motion equation of rigid body and unsteady N-S equation on unstructured dynamic overlapping grids, the numerical simulation of aerodynamic characteristics and the trajectory of UAV airborne bomb in the process of release and separation was carried out. The trajectory and attitude of airborne weapon separation in the process of the bomb movement were obtained and the security issues in the process of bomb release and sepration were analyzed. The results showed that in the calculation of angle of attack range (α = 1°、5°), the bomb release was safe without crosswind, while the bomb realease was not safe when under a crosswind( 5 m/s、10 m/s).
